With the rare exception, there's nothing useful here. Nothing to help you buy a bike, or plan a trip. Given the tiny market for cycling literature, and the micro-population which savours a well-turned sentence, or at least an eccentric one, we never expected much of an audience share. That's our excuse, anyway.

To mark our first six months online we did the sums on our abacus: 20,000* visits. Some sites get that much traffic in a day. Whitehouse.com probably clocks it every hour. (Should we hyperlink that? Nah.)

We don't have a counter because you don't have to know how many people have read a story to enjoy it yourself. But it's nice to know that a few thousand other folks have good taste.
